ABI CARE

In our St Doolagh’s Care & Rehabiliation Centre we provide specialist ABI Care for adults with acquired brain injury (ABI) and other neurological conditions once they are discharged from hospital, medically stable and requiring secondary rehabilitation or long-term care. Many such individuals continue to experience physical, cognitive, emotional and social interpersonal challenges.

Our team includes:

  • Neuro-Psychologist
  • Physiotherapist
  • G.P.
  • Registered General and Psychiatric Nurses
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Behavioral Specialists
  • Rehabilitation Assistants
  • Consultant Psychiatrist
  • Consultant speech and language therapist

ABI care can be provided on both a short term basis when a patient is released from hospital or rehabilitation centre or on a more permanent basis as required.  Many such individuals continue to experience physical, cognitive, emotional and social interpersonal difficulties and find it hard to identify skilled personnel who can help them with the next step in moving forward.

For more information on our ABI care, please contact the Director of Nursing at St. Doolagh's Park or Suncroft Lodge.
