Annabeg Nursing Home was the dream of Joan, a nurse, and her husband William O’Connell who first fell in love with the then old farmhouse and its grounds in 1986. The home hasAnnabeg common area evolved, been extended and lovingly refurbished over the years to provide accommodation for up to forty-one occupants.

Recognizing that some residents prefer independence and others companionship, Annabeg offers a choice of single or shared accommodation. Each room is bright and spacious and following our recent refurbishment has been furnished to a very high standard whilst providing all the comforts of home. Our state-of-the-art bedrooms have wet room en-suite facilities, electronic beds, satellite television and radio and of course a 24 hour on-call nurse bell. Long term residents are very welcome to bring along their own personal items or small furniture pieces to really make the room their own.

We have two sitting rooms, a cozy snug, a sunroom, a dining room and a family room. The latter provides a quiet space to make tea and coffee, or can be a place for families to use as necessary i.e. to sleep over if needed. There is also a beautiful garden space for residents to use freely. The home is equipped with all the appropriate medical equipment to help and assist our residents with their day to day activities.
