Rathborne is a €20 million purpose-built, high-quality nursing home set on a 6-acre site and caters for 120 residents. Mr Mike Tonery, CEO of Trinity Care Nursing Homes, welcomed the Taoiseach’s unveiling of a memorial plaque. “Rathborne has built an excellent reputation locally, since opening in 2021, a tremendous achievement, thanks to the team who provide the high standard of long-term residential care to residents with dementia, convalescent care, and respite care. They have worked hard to achieve our collective goal to enable the highest level of person-centred care, and respect our residents’ values and beliefs, to meet the physical, psychological, and spiritual and social needs of all those receiving care.”

Prizes were also presented at Rathborne Nursing Home to its pottery class of 2023 today.  The winning entry titled Prized Sheep was by Bubby Maher.

Elaine Murray, Director of Nursing at Rathborne, said the residents were thrilled to show off their pottery creations to the Taoiseach.  “We are extremely proud to have the Taoiseach visit, unveil our plaque and to show off our very talented residents.  Rathborne runs a very active programme for our residents, and it puts them at the centre of our care and activities.”
