Annabeg Nursing Home
I have been working in Annabeg for over 11 years, which I really enjoy especially with the great team I work with some of whom will be life long friends.
Working with older persons services is so rewarding as each day when you come to work you know your day will have some very special moments. A smile, a laugh or at times a cry. It is a privilege to share in the wealth of experiences of our residents’ lives, know their stories and support them to have a continued meaningful and purposeful life within the home.
20 years nursing, 14 years in care of the older services.
Coming into work is always a joy, as everyday is different. My role I feel is very unique as I get to experience the best of the residents and build a very special bond. I would say in fact that they are family to me. It gives me great joy to watch our residents fall back in love with interests and activities that they once had enjoyed so much before work and family took over. Everyday I am learning the stories of the lives of the residents, some of them extraordinary and some very humbling, which reminds me how lucky I am to be in this role. I have been in Annabeg for the last 10 years, and will probably be here for another 10 more!
We care about all aspects of your personal and professional development while you are working with Trinity Care. We demonstrate this by being a pro-active, progressive learning organisation.
Meet Winnet who’s worked at Trinity Care for over 20 Years, starting as a healthcare assistant and is now part of our human resources team after working and studying with us.
Our residents have varying needs from specialist dementia support to general assistance with everyday living. Some choose to stay with us on a permanent basis whilst others enjoy shorter periods of time in the home when it suits.
